Comparison of the Effectiveness of Solution-Focused Approach and Compassion-focused Therapy on Emotional Cognitive Regulation and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in Female Head of Households

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness solutionfocused approach and compassion-focused therapy on emotional cognitive regulation post-traumatic stress disorder in female-headed households.
 Methods: research method quasi-experimental having pre-test posttest with a control group. statistical population included households who referred Welfare Center Tehran province 2021. Thirty-six were selected through simple random sampling randomly assigned three groups 12 (two experimental one group). instruments Mississippi (2006) Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Scale Garnfsky, Grich & Spinhaven (2002) Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire. Participants group received Grant’s (2011) Solution-focused counseling sessions Gilbert’s (2010) Compassionate Therapy sessions, both for 8 sessions.  Findings: results data showed that differences between variables adaptive emotion (F=30.61, P <0.001), uncompromising (F=22.73, P<0.001) (F=37.45, is significant. There no significant difference solution-focused compromised disorder, but there noncompromised variable.
 Conclusion: findings shows effective improving (PTSD), two approaches can be reduce Households.
